Laura Kate is the secretary of Student Government, a member of the volleyball team, cheer team, literally rally, and tennis team. She lists her clubs and organizations as Acadia Parish Livestock Show Team, BETA Club, 4-H and National Honor Society. She has received 1st Place in Photography Contest for Catholic Daughters of the Americas, NCA All-American Cheerleader Nominee, 2024 Reserve Champion Showman for Acadia Parish Livestock Show , 2024 Reserve and Grand Champion Market Swine for Acadia Parish, 2023 Reserve Champion Intermediate Showmanship Award at LSU Livestock Show, 3rd Overall Purebred Influenced Barrow at World Pork Expo in Des Moines, Iowa, 2023 Best Defensive Player in Volleyball for the Season, 2023 First Team All-District in Volleyball, and 2024 State Qualifier in Tennis. She volunteers for LSUE, Oak Lane Nursing Home, Mass Lecturer and Swim Lessons Instructor. She plans to attend Louisiana State University and major in Biological Sciences, apply to Optometry School in Houston, Texas and one day work in an eye clinic in my hometown of Eunice.
